About Serialize
Small tasks. Clear results.
Encoding, formatting and inspecting data should start with the task you need to finish.
What you can do here
Serialize provides dedicated tools for tasks such as decoding Base64, formatting JSON, calculating a checksum and converting text to bytes. Each tool has its own input, options, result and reference guide. Open the tool for your task and run it directly.
Start with the Base64 decoder, JSON formatter or SHA-256 calculator, or browse the complete tool directory. Access is free and does not require an account.
Who operates Serialize
Serialize is operated by Grid Heap, Inc., a Delaware corporation. The same company maintains this website and its tool documentation. Product questions and corrections go to our contact address: contact@gridheap.com.
The engine and the interface
The operation engine is based on CyberChef, the open-source project published under the Apache License 2.0. Serialize adds task-specific pages, fixed combinations of operations, browser file handling, output previews and downloadable results. Serialize is an independent website and is not an official CyberChef service.
Tool descriptions acknowledge the underlying operations. Page-specific guides explain input conventions, settings, common mistakes and links to related tasks. Where a public example is available, “Try example” runs that sample through the same tool that processes your input.
How we check results
Published text examples are checked through the browser interface against their expected output, including downloaded bytes. Not every operation has a public example. Cryptographic results and unfamiliar file formats should also be checked against their specification and your own known test data.
A hash does not prove authenticity by itself, decoding a JWT does not verify its signature, and an older cipher is not automatically a suitable choice for new systems. Individual tool guides explain these distinctions where relevant.
Help us correct a tool
Send the tool URL, settings, expected result and a small non-sensitive example to the appropriate contact. Never include passwords, private keys, live access tokens or private datasets. Read how processing and privacy work before using sensitive data.
