About Hex to Text & Bytes Converter
Converts a hexadecimal byte string back into its raw value. e.g. ce 93 ce b5 ce b9 ce ac 20 cf 83 ce bf cf 85 0a becomes the UTF-8 encoded string Γειά σου
Input: text. Output: binary bytes.
Format reference: From Hex background and specification

Result
Hello
Hex bytes versus a number
Each pair of hexadecimal digits represents one byte. Leading zero bytes matter. Converting the number 41 to decimal is different from decoding the hex byte 41, which represents A in ASCII.
Text depends on its encoding
ASCII and UTF-8 text can be read directly when valid. Arbitrary bytes may be displayed as hex instead. Download the result for binary data or use the text encoding tools for another character set.
Parameters
| Parameter | Default value | Input and choices |

Before interpreting the result
Choose a decoder for an encoded payload, an encoder for transport, or a converter for structured data. Hex and Base64 represent bytes; converting formats does not encrypt or authenticate them.
How to use this page
- Paste your input or open a local file.
- Adjust tool options if needed, then choose Run tool.
- Copy the result or download the original output bytes.
Inputs and results are not added to the public catalogue or saved in the URL. Processing happens in your browser; HTTP Request and DNS over HTTPS send the requests you explicitly run. Files up to 128 MiB can be opened; decompression and image tools may have smaller processing limits. Large results have a shortened preview. Text and HTML downloads use UTF-8; binary downloads preserve output bytes. Pasted text follows browser newline handling; open a file when exact input bytes matter.
